Feeling : Tired

As you probably guessed from the lack of entries here...things have been busy again.

Not been up to much interesting, mainly studying for my CNE for NetWare 6 and testing their Branch Office software ready for a 3 site rollout in the summer. That coupled with a cluster upgrade from NetWare 6 to 6.5 and the addition of 2 nodes is keeping me quite busy both at work and home.

I've also been messing around with CSS and XHTML to redo the layout for this site. Feeling : Sleepy

So, back to work tomorrow. Gonna be tough after 10 days out.

Need to get everything sorted out for tomorrow. I've got a feeling that this is gonna be a busy six months. I already have the go ahead for one project that's gonna keep me busy. Probably the biggest thing I've done so far, so gonna be fun I guess.

Just hope I'm able to sleep tonight, not been getting more than a couple of hours a night for the last week or so. Just wish I was able to turn my mind off.

Feeling : Tired

So I finally decided to go see the new Lord of the Rings movie today. Thought getting out of the house might get me out of the mood I've been in.

The movie is fantastic. This comes from someone who hasn't read the book and wasn't really a great fan of the previous two movies. The second one was ok, but the first one almost put me to sleep! The final installment is a must see, one of the best films I've watched in ages, although you probably have to go to the cinema to watch it, I don't think it will have the same impact on the small screen, although it will still be a good movie.

Be warned though, don't drink too much before you go watch it. At three and a half hours, its one long movie....add the time of the trailers and the commercials at the beginning and you'll be in there over four hours. Having said that, the time does pass very quickly and it really doesn't seem like four hours. The only thing that reminded me was the numb arse and my legs not wanting to work properly when we got up to leave...

Go see it!

Feeling : Depressed

You ever just lay awake at night wondering what life is all about? Why we go through the same monotonous shit day in, day out. What's the point of it all? Is there a point. If there is, I'm damned if I can figure it out. One day after another, same routine, same people same things that have to be done. Why?

I don't see a point, I don't see a goal....it just goes round in a never ending cycle until the day you die. Does it matter if I don't get up tomorrow. Would it matter if nobody got up tomorrow...I look around and all I see are people rushing from one pointless task to another, rushing to finish this job so they can move on to the next pressing task that has to be completed, and to what end?.....

Why is it, you can buy all kinds of coffee online...ground, beans, blended etc. But no matter where I look, I can't seem to find anywhere to buy filter papers!

Ok, so I'm almost out of them...the place I got the last lot doesn't sell them anymore so I figure I'll go buy some online, and maybe a new blend of coffee. After all...you can buy anything you want online. Can I find any 1x2 coned filter papers anywhere, can  I buggery!

Feeling : Reminiscent

No entries in December huh...did you miss me?

No? Thought as much.

There goes another year vanishing into the past. Another New Years Eve, another New Years day...wonder what this one will bring. For most people, a hang over will probably be the first thing. But hey, start the year as you mean to go on...

Me, I don't celebrate New Year anymore. Those of you that know me will know why, those that don't, you're probably better off not knowing. Needless to say its all about memories. So while everyone else out there contemplates the new year and are making their resolutions, I sit around and wonder what could've been, and what went wrong. Not exactly the mood you want to be in if you're going to a party, kinda puts a damper on things.

So I wish you all a happy new year. I will simply raise a glass to absent friends. Two people I let down badly, both of whom deserved better and both I miss each day....
