Feeling : Kinda Worried!

Ok, so I've been busy playing with my new toy and haven't really done much else. The weather has been a bit on the hot side here lately, so much so that my office at home is unbearably hot. It cooled down a bit today after a fairly loud thunderstorm (loud enough to wake me up anyway!) So seeing as it's cooled down I decide to start wading through the backlog of emails I haven't been bothered to read and I come across a sotry like this:

'Gender-bending' pollution is being blamed for an alarming trend occurring in English rivers - a third of male fish are changing sex. Female hormones from the contraceptive pill and HRT are being washed into the rivers, causing male fish to produce eggs. This problem is raising fears that the pollutants could also contaminate drinking water and even affect men's fertility.

My initial thoughts are that this is a wind-up and someones copied it from the Daily Sport or something. So I decide to do a quick search using my favourite search engine and sure enough, I find several 'reputable' news agencies are carrying the story! (links below).

Now is it just me, or is this kinda worrying. Don't get me wrong, I like breasts. I just don't want my own pair or I'm in danger of never leaving the house!

Ok, so there's a very good reason for there being no posts here for a while. Yep, you guessed it. My car turned up a week early! Here's a pic, more in the gallery pages if you want a good look.

The timing couldn't have been better. The weather on the weekend was fantasic, and it also arrived in time for my birthday. It still needs to go back to the dealer for a couple of hours at some point to have the rest of the accessories I ordered fitted. The hard top for it is currently on back order so as soon as that arrives I'll be back for that and the rest of the stuff (mud flaps all the way round, front driving lamps and brushed aluminium surrounds for the indicator side repeaters).

I have to say that the test drive doesn't do this car justice at all. Don't get me wrong, I was impressed with the car on the test-drive, but the more you drive it the better it gets. I'm still running this one in, something I'm having to get used to having never bought a brand new car before, so I haven't seen the cars full potential yet. All I can say at the moment is that if what the car can do at low revs is any indication, it should be really impressive when I can use the full range of the gearbox! Only another 200 miles running in to go, can't wait.
